ASA Health and Safety Policy for the Annual Symposium
We are very excited to see many of you in person at Stanford University! The Assyrian Studies Association is very committed to the health and safety of our participants, attendees, exhibitors, sponsors, and partners. We want to ensure our event is as safe as possible to protect you and your families, all ASA attendees and staff, and our communities.
Upon registering for the event, you agree to comply with health and safety protocols for the event.
1. Masking
ASA is following Stanford Humanities Center and Stanford University’s policies against the spread of COVID-19 and strongly encourages use of face mask while indoors.
2. Other Health and Safety Protocols
Touchless Badge Printing: Bring your QR code on your device and scan it for a no-touch experience. All attendees must wear their badges in all meeting spaces to confirm they are an attendee.

Mobile App and Digital Program in lieu of a printed program to reduce touchpoints. Digital programs will be available on iPads in the Registration area and at the Information Desk.

Hand Sanitizer stations will be available around the event. We recommend frequent hand-washing.

Signs reminding participants to abide by COVID protocol

We encourage each attendee to carefully assess their symptoms each morning before coming to the meeting space. If you are sick and/or have symptoms of COVID, we ask that you refrain from coming to the Symposium for the health and safety of others attending. If you test positive COVID while onsite at the event, please stay in your hotel room and contact your healthcare provider. After the Symposium, we recommend you monitor your symptoms in the coming days. If you develop COVID-19 symptoms, please contact your healthcare provider. Also see the following CDC guidance.
