  • What are the registration rates?
    For both participants and non-participants in 2023 Symposium: Early bird registration rate for Non- ASA Members $125 (through July 15, 2023) Early bird registration rate for ASA Members $115 (through July 15, 2023) Standard registration rate $150 (From July 16 - August 13, 2023) Student registration rate $65 USD
  • Can I register for the 2023 Symposium in-person?
    Yes! Registration Check-in is located in Stanford University's Humanities Center (424 Santa Teresa Street Stanford, CA 94305). We strongly encourage all attendees to register in advance to help with social distancing onsite.We strongly recommend paying with credit card to reduce touchpoints. All in-person participants must be fully vaccinated to attend. Friday (August 11, 2023) 8:30am - 2:30pm Saturday (August 12, 2023) 8:30am - 2:30pm
  • What deadlines should I keep in mind when registering for the Symposium?
    Early bird registration deadline is July 15, 2023.
  • My institution has eliminated or reduced our travel budgets due to the pandemic. Will the 2023 Symposium provide any financial assistance to attend the meeting?
    ASA provides travel grants up to $250 USD to attend the annual meeting to U.S. graduate students and international graduate students studying in the U.S. These grants are intended to defray the costs of travel to the meeting such as the cost of a bus, train or plane ticket as well as meals and hotel stays. The travel grant application will open soon.
  • What is ASA’s refund policy?
    The Assyrian Studies Association has a no refund policy for the 2023 Symposium. If an extenuating COVID-19 circumstance arises (for example: COVID-19 diagnosis, exposure), a special exception will be granted.
  • I am a member of the Assyrian Studies Association, is there a discount?
    Yes! When registering, please select that you are a member and you will automatically receive a discounted rate without a promo code.
  • What health and safety measures will be in place?
    We are working closely with Stanford University and the Humanities Center to ensure we are following the latest guidance and will continue to update this section, as well as our health and safety page, leading up to the event. Please check back for the latest guidance. All conference attendees must be fully vaccinated in order to attend. Currently, everyone entering the United States needs to be fully vaccinated.   • Is there a mask policy?
    Stanford Humanities Center follows Stanford University’s policies against the spread of COVID-19 and strongly encourages use of face mask while indoors.
